Rizzo has been a champion of women with breast cancer and those who want to avoid it, with a focus on discovering the cause of breast cancer. She campaigned for the reformulation of beauty and other household products by manufacturers to remove toxic chemicals, and has led legislative initiatives in San Francisco, California and the Federal Government. Rizzo is a leader in the LGBTQ community and has worked with many San Francisco Mayors to help shape the city’s bold leadership around environmental protection for our most vulnerable communities.
